A RAINFALL OF TEKTITES IN NIZHIJ NOVGOROD REGION IN WINTER 1996/1997,

Prezented is data concerning the area of dispersed glasses that, investigation showed, are tektites of unusual composition discovered in Nizhij Novgorod region the rainfall in Winter 1996/1977. The appearance of most past of the fragments looke like a result of thermal fragmentation of the meteoroid and subsequent mutual collisions. They are solidified pieces of a melt stream and heir origion can be exlained be the hipothesis of fulgurie non-Earth origin of tektites. For the first time the area of tektites dispersion was found in Russia and for the first time in word the time of tektites rainfall was recorder.
